Position Summary
The Senior Mortgage Clerk is responsible for managing appraisal and contractor payments related to liquidation appraisal orders, as well as overseeing mortgage loss mitigation servicing. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996 and entails providing Guaranteed Loan Support services while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate CNI Core Competencies into daily operations, emphasizing integrity, quality of work, and strong communication skills.
- Engage with insurance companies to procure necessary information.
- Manage tasks within LoanServ, including updating insurance details and issuing payments.
- Maintain the Electronic Customer File by importing correspondence and documenting system notes in Sagent.
- Conduct account research to resolve issues and process Debt Settlement packets.
- Handle loss claims in accordance with SFG-GLP regulations and provide customer service support to lenders and servicers.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, document imaging, and mail sorting.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of relevant experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders due to federal requirements.
Skills and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service aptitude with the ability to represent the company positively.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook.
Physical Requirements
