Benchmark Human Services is a leading organization in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health. We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team of dedicated professionals.

The successful candidate will work with children from birth to 3 years old, addressing their functional needs in various developmental domains. This includes adaptive development, behavior and play, and sensory, motor, and postural development.

As an Occupational Therapist with Benchmark Human Services, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their families. You will work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualized therapy programs that promote the child\'s overall development and well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Prevent or minimize the impact of initial or future impairment, delay in development, or loss of functional ability.
  • Adapt the environment to meet child/family needs in play, self-help, and behavior development.
  • Evaluate and implement a therapy program of purposeful activities that are rehabilitative, active, or restorative.
  • Train and support family members in the implementation of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and environmental consultation.
  • Complete necessary documentation to facilitate reimbursement through primary funding sources.
  • Promote activities in the natural environment to enhance implementation of the IFSP.
  • Comply with First Steps Provider Agreement regarding continuing education and other requirements.
  • Report any suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation immediately to the supervisor or department head.
  • Comply with all standards to ensure the health and safety of all individuals.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver\'s License.
  • Registered with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Certified by the Medical Licensing Board.
  • Meets criteria for First Steps Provider Enrollment.
