Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Green Tree School & Services. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our occupational therapists to provide high-quality therapy services to students with autism and severe emotional disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services to students in a special education setting, including direct intervention and consultation.
  • Work under the supervision of an occupational therapist to enhance student participation in the educational environment.
  • Implement creative and appropriate lessons and materials to ensure progress towards IEP goals.
  • Provide social, emotional, and behavioral supports to meet student needs.
  • Adapt or modify instructional materials and equipment to facilitate access to instruction.
  • Monitor and maintain treatment equipment and supplies in clean and proper working condition.
  • Educate and train school staff and families on strategies to support students' functional skills in the school environment.
  • Consult with multidisciplinary team members and participate in IEP and other meetings to convey and obtain information regarding student progress.
Requirements
  • Associates degree obtained from an accredited program.
  • License to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant in PA.
  • Current Act 34, Act 114, and Act 151 clearances.
  • Two years' experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a school setting.
  • Ability to communicate with all stakeholders in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to write and complete routine clinical documentation efficiently and coherently.

Be able to occasionally lift up to ten pounds.
