Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity
Highpoint Health Sumner is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the newly opened 12-Bed Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) and Observation Unit. This dynamic unit provides comprehensive care for patients requiring short-term observation and those needing acute medical or post-surgical care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment.
- Document patient care given.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Perform patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice in other nursing units as necessary.
