The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections of various NYCT structure types, maintaining a status and recommended action database, and analyzing defects.
Responsibilities:- Conduct up-close inspections of concrete and steel structures to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain a database of inspection results and recommended actions.
- Analyze defects and prepare designs and repair plans.
- Supervise testing on-site and prepare recommendations for alterations or repairs.
- Provide technical guidance and administrative direction to the Subway Nights Structural Inspection Program.
- A Baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university.
- One year of full-time satisfactory experience in civil engineering work, or a master's degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university.
- A valid New York State Professional Engineer's License.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of MS Office suite and internet and mobile applications.
- Knowledge of structural inspection of concrete and steel.
The selection process will be based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
