Job Description: Cardiovascular Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Intervention Specialist to join our team in Portland, Oregon. As a key member of our catheterization lab team, you will be responsible for assisting cardiologists and other physicians during complex cardiac procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing the cath lab environment for procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and tools are sterile, functional, and properly set up.
  • Verifying patient information, including medical history, allergies, and consent forms, before the procedure begins.
  • Assisting in the preparation of patients, including setting up monitoring equipment and ensuring proper positioning for optimal procedure results.
  • Providing patient education and reassurance before the procedure, explaining what will happen and answering any questions.
Collaboration with Medical Team:
  • Working closely with cardiologists, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care for patients undergoing catheterization or other cardiac procedures.
  • Attending pre-procedure meetings to review patient conditions and provide input on the appropriate procedure.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a catheterization lab or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions quickly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
