Patient Care Attendant

About the Role:
We are seeking a Patient Care Attendant to join our team at Express Medical Transporters. This role involves providing care and assistance to passengers with mobility limitations, ensuring their safety and comfort during transit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist passengers with loading and unloading, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Secure wheelchairs and stretchers using 4-point tie downs and maintain them in a locked, stable position
- Help passengers with seatbelts and other safety devices, promoting a secure environment
- Provide timely information regarding schedules, stops, and routes to passengers
- Handle special requests and aid passengers with disabilities or those requiring additional support
- Monitor passenger behavior to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Communicate effectively with drivers and Site Supervisor to coordinate efficient operations
- Respond to emergencies and unexpected situations effectively, following established protocols
- Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing passenger concerns and questions politely and effectively
- Ensure all necessary equipment for passenger assistance is available and in good working order
- Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on job-specific knowledge and skills
- Collaborate with other team members to improve the overall passenger experience
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Must have a clean criminal record and pass a drug screening
