About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Maternal Fetal Ultrasound Technician to join our Women's Health team at UnityPoint Health.

The ideal candidate will have experience in performing high-quality ultrasound examinations for prenatal care, including fetal anatomy scans, growth assessments, and Doppler studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist MFM physician in history taking and presentation of complex MFM patient cases.
  • Interpretation of the technical aspects of the completed examination.
  • Performance of invasive fetal procedures.
  • Practice sterile technique and prevent cross contamination.
  • Travel to outreach clinics as needed.
  • Assist in the transfer of patients to and from the examination table and operate proper immobilization devices for positioning or transporting as required.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) from an accredited program.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
  • Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment and image processing software.
  • Strong knowledge of fetal anatomy, physiology, and prenatal development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
