Job Summary

We are seeking an Operations Safety Director to oversee safety programs and ensure compliance with regulations in our Western NY locations. This role will involve implementing safety improvements, conducting regular audits, developing training programs, and collaborating with management to promote a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and oversee safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations and for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees to enhance their knowledge and skills.
  • Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and manage workers' compensation claims.
  • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and provide leadership for employees.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of safety regulations, including MSHA and OSHA, as well as DOT regulations.
  • Excellent communication and training skills to effectively engage with employees.
  • The ability to analyze data and implement safety improvements.
  • Proven leadership and collaboration abilities to work effectively with management and employees.
  • Solid computer skills, including MS products and safety-related software.
Work Environment

This role requires regular site visits and some office-based work. You must be able to travel to various locations within the assigned area and work in varying weather conditions.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive base salary and participation in our annual incentive plan. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution and matching contributions. Other benefits include paid bonding leave, 15 days of paid vacation, 40 hours of paid sick leave, and 10 paid holidays. The estimated salary for this role is $107,270 - $139,448 per year.
