About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Racquets Professional to lead our racquet sports programs at Rehoboth Beach Country Club. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all racquet sports activities, including tennis and pickleball.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruction & Coaching: Provide private and group lessons for players of all ages and skill levels in both tennis and pickleball.
  • Program Development: Collaborate with the Racquets Director to design and execute a comprehensive calendar of racquets programs, including tournaments, social events, and instructional sessions.
  • Member Engagement: Build strong relationships with Members, understanding their needs and preferences to tailor racquets programs accordingly.
  • Facility & Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and organization of all racquet sports facilities and equipment.
  • Staff Management: In coordination with the Racquets Director, recruit, train, and supervise a team of qualified Racquets Professionals and support staff.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in sports management, recreation, or a related field (preferred).
  • A certified tennis or pickleball instructor/coach (USPTA, PTR, or equivalent certification).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, within a country club or recreational facility setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with members, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • A demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for racquet sports and commitment to promoting participation, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among club members.
