The Roadrunner Student Ambassador is a dynamic role that offers current Dalton State College students the opportunity to work closely with the Office of Admissions. As a representative of the college, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, leading campus tours, and assisting with various events and initiatives. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic student looking to make a positive impact on campus, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities- Lead Campus Tours
- Conduct scheduled and impromptu campus walking tours for prospective students and visitors.
- Maintain knowledge of all current majors, programs, and campus life activities.
- Prepare and distribute information packets to prospective students.
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Participate in call campaigns and other Office of Admissions initiatives.
- Complete various tasks as assigned by the Office of Admissions.
- Assist with daily office tasks such as managing correspondence, processing of documents, and supporting the admissions team as needed.
- Event Support
- Assist with campus events before, during, and after events.
- Familiarity with the campus layout.
- Familiarity with the campus majors and programs.
- Must be currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits at Dalton State College.
- Must be in good academic standing and maintain good academic standing for the duration of employment.
- Must be in good conduct standing with the Dean of Students office and maintain good conduct for the duration of employment.
- Familiarity with campus policies and procedures.
- Dependability.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to operate computers, printers, copiers, and other office equipment.
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe, SharePoint, and Teams.
