The City of Tacoma is seeking a highly skilled Construction Management Professional to lead the delivery of major projects in the Power Division. As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and closeout of projects, ensuring they meet or exceed client expectations.

About the Role
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including stakeholder engagement, scope definition, and budgeting.
  • Lead and mentor project teams to achieve project objectives, focusing on quality, safety, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve conflicts, address issues, and facilitate change control.
  • Monitor project performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in project management, civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in capital construction project management, preferably in the public sector or utility industry.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License or ability to obtain prior to appointment.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $149,312.80. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid leave, and participation in the Tacoma Employees' Retirement System.
