About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Institech. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure all plant machinery and equipment are in good working condition.
- Problem-Solving: Diagnose and troubleshoot machine malfunctions and operating difficulties to minimize downtime.
- Electrical and Mechanical Work: Complete minor electrical work, including motor replacement, fuse replacement, and switch installation.
- Plant Organization and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in maintenance work.
- Skills: Basic knowledge and skills in pneumatics, electrical, mechanics, hydraulics, rigging, equipment installation, machine rebuilding, motor & drive alignment, measuring equipment & fabrication.
- Communication and Safety: Proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking, and a safety-focused mindset.
What We Offer:
Competitive pay starting at $25 per hour for entry-level positions, with additional shift premiums for 2nd or 3rd shift work. Experienced candidates can earn up to $40 per hour. We value excellent communication and time management skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
