NV Energy is seeking a highly skilled Tax Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Tax Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's tax compliance with federal and state laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the preparation of the company's income tax compliance, including the utilization of the PowerTax system.
  • Assist with and/or prepare various tax-related documents, including monthly, quarterly, and yearly income tax accruals, regulatory reports, and tax returns.
  • Identify potential tax issues, opportunities for tax savings, and ways to make assigned tax compliance more efficient.
  • Establish and maintain work relationships within the department and the company.
  • Ensure all compliance aspects of the position are known and followed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field and 4 years of related accounting or tax experience.
  • Candidates without a bachelor's degree must have a minimum of 6 years of related accounting or tax experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state tax laws, accounting, and company operations.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interact with company personnel and perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $87,600 (Min) to $103,100 (Mid)
  • Up to 12% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) plan
