Job Title: Psychiatrist - PRN

The Psychiatrist will serve as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team focusing on the primary care of adults in the area of behavioral health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement behavioral health treatment plans for all patients under consultation.
  • Establish collaborative partnerships with community mental health agencies and hospitals.
  • Develop evidence-based guidelines for prevalent diagnoses treated at Nexus.
  • Identify and track program outcomes and progress of major handicapping conditions.
  • Meet with hospital administrators to review program progress and future developments.
  • Provide billing information and physician time logs on a regular basis.
  • Perform reviews of prospective patients within four hours of receipt.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of medicine.
  • Minimum two years direct care experience.
  • Licensed as a Psychiatrist in the State of Texas.
  • Certified in CPR if applicable.
