Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Care team. As a Nurse Practitioner with Anderson Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our patients, providing comprehensive and personalized care to meet their unique needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assess patient health through thorough interviews, physical examinations, and thorough review of medical histories.
- Order and interpret Point of Care laboratory tests and radiology studies to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with cooperative agreements with supervising physicians.
- Analyze test results and physical examination findings to develop effective care plans.
- Document patient care in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring seamless communication among healthcare teams.
- Perform therapeutic procedures, including injections, immunizations, suturing, wound management, and infection control.
- Assess patient learning needs and provide education and counseling to promote wellness and health maintenance.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians to develop and implement care management plans, ensuring continuity of care.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection control policies and protocols.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with professional knowledge and best practices by attending conferences, workshops, and online courses.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing and a graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner curriculum.
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License through the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations.
- Current State of Illinois Controlled Substance License and current State of Illinois DEA.
- National certification as a nurse practitioner by one of the following certifying bodies: American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- One year of experience as a nurse practitioner preferred.
Working Conditions:
Exposure Category I: Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. All procedures or other job-related tasks that involve an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashes of them, are Category I tasks. Use of appropriate protective measures is required for every employee engaged in Category I tasks.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
