Riveon Mental Health and Recovery Careers is seeking a dedicated professional to fill the role of Day Treatment Addiction Counselor within our Men's department.
Role Summary:
The Day Treatment Addiction Counselor plays a crucial role in providing essential services related to addiction recovery. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, client screening, comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, educational outreach, referrals, and meticulous documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering clinical services such as individual and group counseling, family therapy, and intensive outpatient services.
- Conducting assessments to identify client strengths and weaknesses, and developing tailored treatment plans.
- Coordinating with staff and representatives from various recovery programs to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Managing a caseload, which includes orienting clients to the program, conducting clinical reviews, and planning for discharges.
- Engaging families in the treatment process and providing necessary program components.
- Maintaining regular communication with referral sources and completing all required data collection for quality improvement initiatives.
- Participating in monthly reviews to ensure the effectiveness of treatment strategies.
Qualifications:
General Requirements:
Candidates must comply with the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board's Code of Ethics, demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of addiction as a disease, and possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience in treatment or recovery. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in computer applications.
Educational Background:
An Associate Degree or significant progress towards one, with a focus on Addictions Treatment and Prevention, is required. A Bachelor's Degree or higher is preferred.
Certification:
Required credentials include LCDCII, LPC, LSW, or a higher qualification. Candidates with a CDCA credential who are eligible for licensure upgrade within six months may be considered based on experience.
Travel Requirements: Minimal travel is expected, primarily within the local area.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during daytime hours.
Compensation: Salary will be commensurate with licensure and experience.
