Job Summary

The City of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Public Works Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our city's infrastructure, including streets, storm systems, and city facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise a team of maintenance personnel to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance projects, including street maintenance, storm system repairs, and facility maintenance
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and budgets to ensure optimal resource allocation
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inventory and supplies
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Public Works Director or City Manager
Requirements
  • Valid Texas Class C Driver's License
  • Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain within one year of hire
  • Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) training or ability to obtain within one year of hire
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of four years of experience in construction, road work, maintenance, repair, heavy equipment operation, and supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local rules, laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to operate light to heavy equipment, including backhoes, sweepers, dump trucks, power hand tools, generators, and other city-owned or rented equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work effectively with co-workers, the public, and outside agencies
