Job Title: Underground Utility Superintendent

Alexander Rose International is seeking an experienced Underground Utility Superintendent to join our team in the Florida panhandle. As a key member of our civil construction team, you will oversee city, private, commercial, and municipal infrastructure projects with a focus on underground utilities, ground, paving, roadway, site prep, and dirt work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and establish effective working relationships with on-site staff to promote a positive project morale.
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of General Contracts, Subcontracts, contract drawings, specifications, and addenda.
  • Examine contract documents for design deficiencies, impractical details, and possible code violations.
  • Assist in developing and refining project schedules and ensure timely completion.
  • Plan and review project scope, including quality control procedures, safety practices, temporary utilities, staging areas, equipment, and manpower.
  • Coordinate and direct activities of subcontractors, suppliers, labor, and material.
  • Ensure all required permits and licenses are obtained.
  • Cooperate with inspection agencies and effect remedial actions as necessary.
  • Manage project rentals within budget and document work progress.
  • Record and report RFI's, Change of Scopes, and other project-related information.
  • Review and approve Foreman's Daily Reports and weekly as-built prints.
  • Maintain good relations and communications with project stakeholders.
Accounts and Safety Responsibilities:
  • Review invoices to ensure shipments are complete, accurate, and within budget.
  • Save slips for project manager and work with PM and PA to bill each job on schedule.
  • Ensure site crew follows safety program and hold weekly safety meetings.
  • Refer to Safety Manual for further instruction and OSHA regulations.
  • Work with Safety Manager on project safety.

Requirements:
  • Up-to-date CPR/AED certificate.
  • 30 hour OSHA training (minimum).
  • Minimum 5 years experience in underground utilities/facilities work.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Minimum 3 years foreman experience in underground utility business.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Computer and software skills (Bluebeam, Word, HCSS, Excel, Outlook).
