Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize requests for sample collection based on urgency and patient needs
  • Collect patients' personal information and maintain confidentiality
  • Determine the correct venipuncture method for each patient, ensuring minimal discomfort
  • Provide patients with reassurance and support during the collection process
  • Use sterilized equipment to draw blood and correctly label samples for testing


Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Medical Specimen Technician or Phlebotomist
  • Phlebotomy diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge of best practices in patient identification methods and legal requirements regarding blood draws
  • Familiarity with medical software and data entry systems
