Position: Facilities Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift
Overview:
Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, the Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for executing various maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical work within the facility. Flexibility in work shifts and availability for overtime, including weekends and holidays, is essential. Adherence to safety protocols and compliance with all operational guidelines is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will actively participate as a skilled member of the maintenance team, focusing on the continuous enhancement of maintenance operations and ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in accordance with client standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in English for effective communication on technical matters, both verbally and in writing.
- A collaborative team player with a constructive attitude.
- Experience in plumbing, including installation and repair of PVC piping, drain clearing, and leak repairs.
- Basic electrical skills, including installation and repair of components such as receptacles and lighting.
- Capability to repair and maintain air compressors.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
- Possession of a complete set of essential hand tools.
- Physical ability to maneuver in confined spaces and perform tasks at heights.
Preferred Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years in facilities maintenance.
- Experience in carpentry, concrete work, or heavy equipment operation is advantageous.
- Familiarity with fire suppression systems is a plus.
- Experience with air compressors is preferred.
Physical and Job Site Requirements:
- Ability to complete hiring documentation electronically.
- Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess sufficient strength and stamina to fulfill the essential functions of the role.
- Ability to navigate confined spaces and uneven terrain.
- Full range of motion appropriate for the role.
- Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders.
- Adequate hearing to respond to verbal commands and alarms.
- Visual acuity and depth perception necessary for working at heights and on uneven surfaces.
- Safety footwear is required.
