About the Role:

Data Modeler is a key position within BCG X, collaborating closely with a global leader in the insurance industry to shape their data architecture and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and manage data models and ontologies for large-scale business applications across multiple geographies.
  • Lead the design and integration of enterprise information assets, services, and business systems to ensure efficient data usage and compliance with governance standards.
  • Document and continuously improve data architecture systems, while educating teams on data governance standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and the Data Governance team to ensure high data quality, security, and privacy compliance across business applications.
  • Monitor market and industry trends in data architecture and apply them to enhance AIG's information lifecycle management and data integration processes.

Requirements:
  • Data modeling experience: Proven track record of modeling and contributing to the data architecture strategy at an enterprise level.
  • Experience with data methodologies like dimensional modeling, Data Vault modeling, ER modeling, and semantic modeling.
  • Expertise in data governance, security, and privacy in modeling and architecture.
  • Experience with master and reference data management.
  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Data Warehousing.
  • Experience using Snowflake platform.
  • Good understanding of ontologies.
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry or similar tool.
  • Experience in insurance or financial services.
