Job Summary

The Merchandising Sales Associate is a key member of the Tractor Supply Company team, responsible for executing start-to-finish variable tasks such as planograms and physical inventories. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance, working scheduled shifts and adapting to varied hours, days, and nights as needed.
  • Communicate proactively with District FAST Supervisor on work completion, issues, and solutions.
  • Complete planograms and resets accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining visual merchandise standards.
  • Perform store-specific measurements, complete store layout initiatives, and conduct accurate counts for store inventories and cycle counts.
  • Hang store signage, assemble merchandise, fixtures, and PDQs, and perform detailed recovery and review planogram integrity.
  • Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet, Uncover, Recommend, Ask, and Appreciate.
Requirements
  • Prior retail and/or merchandising experience is required; farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required; must be able to read, write, and count accurately.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, basic computer skills, and self-directed work habits are essential.
Working Conditions
  • Working environment is favorable, generally working inside with moderate noise.
  • Work shifts vary from one store to another, but generally are no less than 4 hours and may exceed 8 hours.
  • Traveling between store locations in your personal vehicle is required; often with long periods of time.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel as required in support of district needs.
  • Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with the assistance of proper material handling equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead.
  • Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
