The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies is seeking a highly skilled Lead Cybersecurity Solutions Architect to provide support to our esteemed government client in Washington, DC. This role requires full-time on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of cybersecurity teams, tools, and systems utilized to safeguard the digital landscape, including but not limited to:
  • Management of firewalls
  • Administration of host intrusion detection and prevention systems
  • Security information and event management (SIEM) including audit log examination and analysis
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments
  • Incident management and response
  • Providing technical analysis and troubleshooting support
  • Assisting the agency with project oversight through the integrated master schedule
  • Delivering project presentations to agency change boards
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Required Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or six to ten years of relevant experience in the cybersecurity domain
  • Must possess IAT level III certification (CASP, CCNP, CISA, CISSP)

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Comprehensive understanding of systems engineering, security operations, incident response strategies, user behavior analytics, and personnel management
  • Proficiency in Powershell and Bash scripting
  • Networking expertise
  • Firewall configuration skills
  • Authentication setup knowledge
  • DNS/IP configuration experience

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity with EPO/Trelix/ESS
  • Experience with Tenable/ACAS/Nessus
  • Knowledge of Splunk Enterprise, including system migration, forwarder configuration, and application deployment
  • Experience with Varonis application deployment and upgrades
  • Understanding of STIG and Fortify
  • Proficient in Redhat, including file permission management and key file creation

Citizenship and Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory
  • An active Top-secret clearance is required
