Pharmacy Assistant

At Avita Health System, we are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the medication inventory, and maintaining patient records.

• Assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions for medications, including oral, rectal, topical, and injectable formulations.
• Prepare non-sterile products, chemotherapy products, and other hazardous medications using strict adherence to proper technique and established standards.
• Maintain patient records and assist with medication inventory management.
• Work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist and contribute to the Meds to Beds program.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician or Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing in the State of Ohio.
• One-year retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program or employer-based training program preferred.
