Traveling Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at Anne Arundel Medical Center. As a Traveling ICU RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Cardiac ICU environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Cardiac ICU, including those with post-operative open heart surgery, CABG, and valve repair.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address these needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- 2+ years of experience in a Cardiac ICU or CVICU setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, including weekends.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
As a Traveling ICU RN at Anne Arundel Medical Center, you will work in a state-of-the-art Cardiac ICU with a team of experienced healthcare professionals. You will have access to the latest medical technology and equipment, including CRRT, IABP, and Artic Sun.
