Job Title: Mobile Specimen Collector

At Ethos Holding Corp, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mobile Specimen Collector to join our team. As a Mobile Specimen Collector, you will be responsible for collecting patient specimens in physician's offices, including urine, oral fluid specimens, blood, and potentially Covid-19 specimens.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect all specimen samples following established processes and procedures.
  • Travel to various client locations within a reasonable driving distance, including multiple locations in a single day.
  • Follow established patient protocol.
  • Maintain specimen integrity by following Ethos standard operating procedures and reference materials provided by Core Business Field Supervisor.
  • Tracks collected specimens by initialing, dating, and completing paper requisition forms.
  • Labels specimen for identification purposes and prepares sample for shipment to lab.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and clean work environment by following standard procedures, and compliance guidelines.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities & assigned trainings provided by Ethos.
  • Adheres to Ethos professional standards, policies and procedures, and meets federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Maintains positive interaction with patients and clinic staff, representing Ethos core values.
Requirements:
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Flexibility to travel within a defined geographic area and on short notice.
  • Must be able and willing to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information and remain compliant with HIPAA.
  • Ability to reflect positive attitude and disciplined work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and supervised remotely.
  • Strong interpersonal & patient care skills.
  • Strong technical ability to perform tasks with sound judgment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willing and able to complete all matrices of specimen collection.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Specimen collection, medical, or laboratory experience preferred, but not required.
  • Customer service, Logistics, Data Entry experience preferred, but not required.
  • Valid state-issued Driver's License; must be 21 years of age with reliable transportation.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing.
  • Must be able to work under limited and remote supervision where the work assignments are subject to established procedures, techniques, and well-defined policies.
  • Skill with completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to utilize technology to complete work in a remote environment: update personnel documents and complete online training and utilize Aps on a smart phone to clock in and out.
Physical Requirements:
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status, CDC "Up to Date" status required.
  • Work in varying degrees of temperature (heated or air conditioned).
  • Position requires sitting, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers, talking and/or hearing, and seeing.
  • Work will be performed in a patient facing environment and exposes the incumbent to normal bodily fluids, including biohazard materials.
