About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Community Living Specialist to join our team at Dungarvin. In this role, you will work directly with individuals to provide personalized support and coordinate services that promote community inclusion and independence.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as strong knowledge of local community resources and service systems. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and facilitate collaboration among multiple service providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate services and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, or significant medical needs.
  • Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized plans.
  • Provide education and resources to individuals and their support networks on topics such as self-directed services, benefits navigation, and employment opportunities.
  • Act as an advocate for the rights and interests of our clients, ensuring they receive fair and respectful treatment in all interactions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a public or private social service agency, preferably in a case management or care coordination role.
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and proof of automobile insurance.
