Job Overview:

Nottoway County Public Schools seeks an experienced Language Interventionist to join our team. As a Language Interventionist, you will work with students who require language support, developing and implementing individualized language plans, and collaborating with educators to ensure effective language instruction.

This role requires a deep understanding of language development, assessment techniques, and therapeutic interventions. You will assess students' language abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide guidance to educators on how to support students' language needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing students' language abilities through standardized tests and observations
  • Developing and implementing language plans tailored to each student's needs
  • Collaborating with educators to integrate language strategies into lesson plans
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to educators on language disorder topics
  • Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to decision-making processes

Requirements:

  • Valid license as a speech-language pathologist issued by the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP)
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Transcripts and references required
  • Successful outcomes of background investigations/tests including tuberculosis screening, FBI Criminal History Investigation, State Police Criminal History Investigation, and Child Protective Services (CPS) Investigation

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
