The Quality Control Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Quality Department with all ISO 9001 related quality assurance activities within the organization.

This position ensures compliance with the requirements of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) tailored to the company's operational model. The Quality Control Specialist is also significantly engaged in various quality management initiatives across the organization.

Compensation Range:
$85,000 - $100,000

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Guarantee that the ISO 9001 QMS effectively demonstrates its capability to consistently deliver products and services that fulfill customer and legal requirements.

Assist management in enhancing customer satisfaction through the proficient implementation of the QMS system, including processes for ensuring compliance with customer and legal requirements.

Collaborate with all divisions within the organization and engage with regulatory bodies, clients, consultants, and suppliers concerning the ISO 9001 QMS requirements.

Manage the creation, revision, and control of documented information.

Oversee documentation and record retention for:
Quality Policy; Scope of QMS; Management review.
Process Control through Procedures, Work Instructions, & Specifications.
Document control & revisions.
Training & competence.
Risks & Opportunities; Resources needed.
Change management; Non-Conformance; Product release.
Calibration & maintenance and traceability; Monitoring & measurement of processes.
Corrective actions; Process enhancements.
Customer satisfaction & support; Post-delivery activities.
Customer communication regarding product requirements.
Internal audits; External/Customer audits; Supplier Quality management.
Review and provide trend analysis metrics.
Assist in supporting contract reviews.
RMA requests / submissions (Return Material Authorization).

Maintain clear and open communication with relevant departments regarding revisions, updates, changes, non-conformance, or any other process-related activities that may impact overall requirements.

Facilitate ISO 9001 quality-related investigations.
Lead Corrective Action (CA) and Preventive Action (PA) initiatives.
Oversee investigations of customer complaints related to quality.
Schedule and conduct audits for ISO 9001 QMS (internal, external, customer).
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum high school diploma; Associate's degree preferred in a relevant field.
At least 5 years of experience with ISO 9001 Certified Quality Management Systems.
Familiarity with a manufacturing environment adhering to ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, or similar standards.
Experience with the internal audit process is essential.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong grasp of analytical methods and manufacturing practices.
Exceptional communication skills and proven ability to manage customer audits.
Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and all levels of management.
Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail.
Skilled in gathering and analyzing information.
Knowledge of CMM, Smart Scope, SPC, FMEA, PPAP, GD & T.
Capable of multitasking and prioritizing effectively.
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
