Principal Network Architect

Coherent is seeking a highly experienced Principal Network Architect to lead the development of our network architecture and infrastructure. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing network solutions that meet the needs of our global operations.

• Develop and implement network architecture and infrastructure strategies that align with business objectives
• Lead the design and implementation of network solutions, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and infrastructure security
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions with other IT systems
• Provide thought leadership on new technologies and drive innovation in network architecture and infrastructure
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards for network architecture and infrastructure

• 15+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on network architecture and infrastructure
• 10+ years of experience in network and cybersecurity architecture development and management
• 5+ years of project management experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• MS/MBA/Other Advanced degree is preferred

• Expert-level knowledge of networking concepts, architecture, components, protocols, technologies, and methods
• Expert knowledge of IT architecture techniques, including current state analysis, architecture modeling, and roadmap development
• Expert knowledge of architecting network and infrastructure security technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive innovation in network architecture and infrastructure

• Standard daylight shift work in office environment, with some time spent in data centers
• Must be available to work beyond normal working hours, on-call 24/7 (as necessary)
• Willing to travel, domestic and international
