Role Responsibilities
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care. Key duties include:
- Conducting thorough patient assessments, including evaluation of breath sounds and airway conditions.
- Administering respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery and aerosol treatments.
- Assisting in the placement of artificial airways and managing mechanical ventilation.
- Monitoring patient responses to therapy and intervening as necessary.
- Providing support during emergency situations to maintain airway integrity.
Qualifications Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 60 months of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
- Neonate Resuscitation certification within 30 days of employment.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification within 60 months of employment.
- Associate Degree in a relevant field.
