Position Summary: We are seeking a meticulous and organized individual to join our Spice Processing Team as a Spice Processing Technician. This role involves hands-on responsibilities, requiring proficiency in managing the spice processing workflow efficiently. The ideal candidate will be adept at setting up and operating various machinery, including spice mills, grinding mills, sifters, and paddle batch mixers.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time hourly position. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Full-time employees are entitled to healthcare benefits, paid time off, and annual bonuses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the precise and timely completion of spice blends and grinds based on priority.
- Measure ingredients according to the assigned work order for blending or grinding.
- Safely and accurately set up, operate, and dismantle multiple production machines following established protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of manufacturing equipment and processing areas.
- Complete daily performance goals and documentation as required by management.
- Identify and quarantine defective or non-conforming products.
- Ensure quality and consistency of all products and report any discrepancies to management.
- Rotate among various work centers as needed and perform additional related tasks as assigned.
- Adhere to all general work rules, production department GMPs, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in manufacturing, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and familiarity with mechanical tools.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and to perform various physical activities for extended periods.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking) is required.
- Willingness to undergo Food Defense Training.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
- A genuine passion for food is essential.
