Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Bone & Associates. Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive building maintenance duties, including maintaining roll-up doors, repairing and replacing broken windows, changing air filters, mowing, and weed control.
  • Plumbing and Electrical Repairs: Perform routine plumbing repairs, such as unstopping toilets, sinks, or urinals, fixing water leaks, and leaking faucets. Perform routine electrical repairs, such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and assisting in repairing or replacing ballast and light fixtures.
  • Supply Management: Purchase supplies, equipment, and materials necessary to complete projects.
  • Repairs and Maintenance: Repair and replace doorknobs or locks, repair door closures, patch holes in walls, and paint interior and exterior walls.
  • Scheduling and Reporting: Develop and implement repair and maintenance schedules for all areas of the property's maintenance, identify, report to the property manager, and schedule repair of areas in poor repair.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED and one (1) year building maintenance experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. A valid Tennessee driver's license is required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of trades related to building maintenance and repair, knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of buildings, knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions, skill in reading and following blueprints and assembly instructions, skills in following safety practices and recognizing hazards, skill in using hand and power tools, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and co-workers, and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
