Position: Day Porter

Overview:

As a Day Porter, you will be responsible for ensuring that the office or commercial building remains in pristine condition. Your role is crucial in maintaining a clean and orderly environment by performing various cleaning and maintenance tasks as outlined in the job specifications.

Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
  • 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Compensation: $16.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
  • Thoroughly cleaning offices, lobbies, and shared spaces
  • Restocking and sanitizing restrooms
  • Disposing of trash and replacing liners
  • Maintaining cleanliness in corridors and stairwells
  • Performing dusting, wiping, and surface cleaning
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
  • Utilizing floor cleaning equipment as necessary
  • Spot cleaning glass doors and windows
  • Cleaning ashtrays, windows, and frames
  • Restocking supplies in restrooms, break rooms, and communal areas
  • Keeping janitorial closets organized and tidy
  • Ensuring janitorial equipment is clean and functional
  • Proficiency in English is recommended for effective communication with colleagues and clients.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and carry a 12 lbs. backpack vacuum when required.
  • While not mandatory, English proficiency is highly encouraged to fulfill job responsibilities effectively.
