Position Overview
The CDL Driver will be responsible for providing transportation services for our demolition and abatement projects. This role requires effective communication with the operations manager to assess trucking requirements and coordinate hauling activities accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a roll-off truck to support our demolition and abatement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety regulations before vehicle operation. Complete daily vehicle condition reports and utilize the GPS system.
  • Conduct thorough pre and post-trip inspections to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, and operational controls. Report any safety concerns in the vehicle condition report.
  • Maintain all small tools assigned to the roll-off truck and report any missing items for replacement.
  • Engage courteously with demolition superintendents and other personnel to meet hauling needs promptly.
  • Notify superintendents of any safety concerns on job sites, including site conditions and the need for ground guides or flaggers. Do not operate on the job site until safety issues are resolved.
  • Be prepared to work required hours, which may include weekends, evenings, holidays, and out-of-town assignments.
  • Complete daily route sheets detailing job sites serviced.
  • Ensure all disposal and scrap tickets are accurately documented with job numbers and returned to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assign a PO# for any vehicle or tire repairs and use company fuel cards in accordance with policy.
  • Participate in required company safety training.
Qualifications
  • Valid Class A or Class B CDL and current DOT Medical Card are mandatory.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug screening, physical examination, and background checks, including previous employment verification and motor vehicle record review.
  • Able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
