Position Summary:
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC systems. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine maintenance on commercial HVAC systems to ensure efficiency and reliability.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of HVAC components and their functions.
• Reclaim and recover refrigerant, assess system pressures, execute vacuum pulls, and add refrigerant as necessary for split systems and rooftop units (RTUs).
• Oversee RTU start-up procedures and verify proper rotation of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair various types and brands of HVAC equipment effectively.
• Possess knowledge of low voltage controls, including thermostats, sensors, smoke detectors, and control boards, with the ability to interpret wiring diagrams.
• Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of repairs, costs, and available services.
• Collaborate closely with dispatchers and team members to maintain a professional and efficient workflow.
• Complete necessary documentation, including invoices and time sheets, accurately and promptly.
• Exhibit the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility in hours and responsiveness to emergency calls as required.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in HVAC service is essential.
• Possession of an EPA License is mandatory.
Technical Skills:
• Preferred knowledge in commercial HVAC service.
Desired Competencies:
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Organizational agility and priority setting.
• Interpersonal savvy to foster positive relationships.
Physical Requirements:
• Maintain a professional appearance in company uniform.
• Successfully pass drug tests and physical examinations as mandated.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including prolonged standing, squatting, ladder climbing, working at heights, navigating small spaces, and lifting weights of 50 pounds or more.
