Nurse Resident I

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Nurse Resident to join our team. As a Nurse Resident, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced nurses and healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients suffering from acute myocardial infarctions, cardiogenic shock, respiratory arrest, life-threatening dysrhythmias, and other cardiovascular conditions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
- Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care, taking into account acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability.
- Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent risk.
- Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
- Document patient care in medical records.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- New graduate RN or less than one year of RN work experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) for Critical Care areas.
- TNCC certification within one year of appointment for ICU or PICU assignments.
- IABP certification within one year of employment for CCU or CVSU assignments.
- CVVHD training within one year of appointment for ICU or CVSU assignments.
Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
