The Cardiovascular Ultrasound Specialist is responsible for conducting echocardiography assessments that are essential for subsequent analysis and interpretation by a medical professional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Diagnostic ECG/Echocardiography apparatus.
- Perform a variety of echocardiographic studies, including:
- 2-D Echocardiograms
- M-Mode
- Doppler Studies
- Contrast Echocardiograms
- Stress Echocardiograms
- Transesophageal Echocardiograms
- Collaborate effectively within the healthcare team.
- Comprehend and execute written and verbal instructions, including safety protocols.
- Organize and finalize tasks efficiently.
- Understand medical and surgical terminology.
- Demonstrate basic computer skills.
Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in the role of Echocardiography Technician is preferred.
Licensure/Certification: RDCS or RCS certification through ARDMS, or RCI certification through CCI is preferred.
Education: An Associate's degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology, or Ultrasound is required.
