About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Assembler to join our Pittsburgh, PA team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling complex mechanical systems and components, ensuring that they meet the required specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test complex mechanical systems involving a large number of parts, with a focus on precision tolerance and alignment.
  • Evaluate the alignments of axes in relation to each other, verifying orthogonality and angular displacement measurements using various tools.
  • Operate lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and other tools to fit and size parts.
  • Clean and prepare parts for paint, ensuring a high-quality finish.
  • Assist in the packing and shipping of equipment to customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Perform field service functions on equipment, both domestically and internationally, as required.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control to calibrate and maintain the metrology lab, ensuring accurate measurements and quality control.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, machines, and equipment, adhering to safety protocols and company standards.
  • Meet budget and schedule requirements, providing regular updates to the Engineering Department to ensure production efficiency.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with technical school or machining apprenticeship preferred.
  • At least five years of mechanical experience, with 10 years of experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, with ability to travel up to 10%-15% domestically and occasionally internationally.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on precision and attention to detail.
