Position Overview


The Floor Care Specialist is tasked with the upkeep, enhancement, and operation of specialized floor maintenance machinery within designated areas.

The specific duties and responsibilities associated with this role may differ by Aramark location based on client needs and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exhibits a courteous, efficient, and positive service demeanor towards clients, customers, and colleagues.
  • Proactively addresses and fulfills customer requests.
  • Implements appropriate techniques for hard floor maintenance (including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and buffing) in accordance with established hard surface care principles.
  • Employs correct methods for carpet and upholstery care (such as shampooing, damp cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming).
  • Operates industrial-grade floor maintenance equipment as scheduled for the cleaning of expansive floor areas.
  • Conducts maintenance and restorative tasks for various types of flooring.
  • Handles all types of waste, including municipal solid waste (MSW), infectious, and pharmaceutical waste, ensuring proper processing and disposal.
  • Clears away trash, recyclables, soiled linens, and used supplies from the assigned workspace. Cleans and disinfects receptacles and carts as necessary.
  • Adheres to all Aramark safety protocols, sanitation standards, and infection control measures as mandated by relevant local agencies.
  • Complies with all Aramark appearance guidelines and consistently wears the designated uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) while on duty.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in floor care or a related field, along with familiarity with floor maintenance equipment, is preferred.
  • Ability to read and write effectively to ensure clear communication with others and perform basic mathematical calculations.


This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing.

The role may also necessitate the use of uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
