Minimum of 7 years of expertise in operational technology intrusion detection and security monitoring applications. Proficient in software tools aimed at identifying, investigating, and mitigating threats, including Carbon Black. Familiarity with antivirus solutions such as Symantec is essential. Experience with operational monitoring systems like Splunk is required. A strong background in operational security oversight and management is preferred.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience within the oil and gas sector focusing on operational technology is advantageous. Knowledge of Microsoft Defender in enterprise environments is a plus.
Job Overview
A leading client in the oil and gas industry is looking for a Security Monitoring Management Specialist to enhance their operations. The specialist will ensure that the inventory is regularly updated with application policies and will evaluate what is permitted and restricted in the field. This role involves utilizing software such as Carbon Black, Symantec, and Splunk for application whitelisting, threat detection, antivirus management, and comprehensive monitoring and analysis of hardware and software systems. The primary objective is to uphold, supervise, and ensure optimal security practices for hardware deployed in the field. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring onsite presence three days a week. Compensation: $60 - $65/hour.
