Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team at Beacon Skin and Surgeries. As a Medical Assistant Dermatology Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and creating a positive experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the Medical Assistant team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow, communicating effectively with the provider and clinic manager as needed.
  • Accurately obtain patient medical history and medication lists, and prepare exam rooms to meet the provider's needs.
  • Assist the provider in procedures such as biopsies, surgical procedures, and cosmetic treatments, and scribe during visits to ensure accurate documentation in the EMR.
  • Communicate wound care instructions to patients and maintain a safe environment, adhering to all safety precautions.
  • Stock exam rooms and perform duties related to medical instrument cleaning and sterilization.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Medical Assistant certificate program is preferred, but not required.
  • Previous clinical experience is essential, with a background in dermatology or Mohs surgery being a plus.
  • Excellent patient care skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
  • Scribe experience is a plus, but training will be provided.
