Role Overview:

The Engineering & Sciences organization is in search of a Systems Engineer to support Integration and Test initiatives within the G/ATOR program family. This role is primarily on-site and will be based in Linthicum, Maryland. The responsibilities for this position necessitate flexibility to accommodate testing during various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the program schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate, troubleshoot, and evaluate RF sensor systems.
  • Assist in the development and establishment of integration/lab environments.
  • Collaborate with software, firmware, and hardware teams to comprehend expected unit and system-level behaviors, define test cases, and ensure testing yields anticipated data points.
  • Define and develop testing capabilities that challenge and assess respective software and hardware functionalities.
  • Aid in the creation and upkeep of system integration plans and system test plans.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with no experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related technical fields. Alternatively, 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to support multiple shifts (e.g., 2nd shift, weekends) when the test schedule requires it.
  • Experience with RF lab testing equipment: signal generator, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software/firmware integration issues.
  • Familiarity with test scripting, data analysis, and/or signal processing.
  • Knowledge of RF systems and hardware.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective internal communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Systems Engineering principles, including requirements analysis and verification planning and execution.
  • Multi-disciplinary engineering experience and exposure (Software/Digital, Hardware, Electrical, Systems) with a strong ability to communicate across functions.
  • Knowledge and experience with ground radars and AESA radar development, design, and testing.
  • Master’s degree in STEM or technical leadership.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Marine Corps and/or U.S. Air Force customers.
  • Ability to qualify for program access based on customer requirements (SAP/SAR).

Salary Range: $83,300 - $124,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
