Position Overview
As a vital member of our culinary team, the Food Service Worker plays an essential role in ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience for our patrons. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at maintaining high standards of food service and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handles cash transactions and manages the point of sale system effectively.
  • Assists in the preparation and presentation of meals.
  • Serves food to students and staff in a timely manner.
  • Conducts cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing work areas and equipment.
  • Prepares beverages, operates drink machines, and organizes food service areas.
  • Delivers food to designated locations as needed.
  • Prepares and serves meals in accordance with established menus.
  • Receives and organizes incoming supplies.
  • Maintains storage areas for utensils, dishes, and kitchen equipment.
  • Participates in safety initiatives and committees.
  • Attends required training and in-service programs.
  • Contributes to the mission and objectives set forth by Whitsons Culinary Group.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned.

Work Schedule
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM (subject to change)

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient in English to understand and execute job tasks.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Willingness to work in varying temperatures due to food preparation and storage.
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Basic reading and writing skills in English.
  • Must pass background screening.
