Job Summary:

The Clinical Supervisor RN is a key member of the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center team, responsible for ensuring the continuity of nursing care management, practice, teaching, and consultation for an eight hour shift within the Surgical Services Line. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to evaluate the delivery of care and coordinate the activities of the Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the delivery of care and ensure comprehensive care is given to each patient
• Coordinate the activities of the Unit and direct, organize, and assign work to the nursing staff
• Assist nursing personnel in identifying patient and family needs
• Ensure all orders are executed in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Perform patient-care rounds and collaborate with Unit Management to determine and obtain equipment and supplies needed in performance of patient care
• Assist in scheduling nursing personnel to ensure adequate staffing and participate in peer review activities to set patient care standards
• Maintain legal, institutional, and professional standards and serve as a role model to establish a positive and motivating work environment

Requirements:

• Current RN Arkansas license with the Arkansas State Board of Nursing
• BLS & ACLS certification
• Five years ER experience
• Associates degree from an accredited nursing school or Bachelors degree from an accredited nursing school

Preferred Qualifications:

• CEN Certification
• PALS or EMPC certification
• NIHSS certification
