Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting, designing, implementing, and supporting tooling and practices that enable IT engineers to accelerate their productivity in the workplace.

Main Responsibilities
  • Identify Opportunities for Improvement: Continuously drive greater operational excellence by identifying areas for improvement in elastic horizontal scaling, observability, logging, alerting, container, and application orchestration at scale.
  • Drive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Principles: Partner with scrum teams and IT Operations teams to drive SRE principles, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software and services.
  • Support and Partner with IT Teams: Collaborate with Avalon IT Operations teams, Application Development Scrum Teams, Database, EDI, and Clinical Operations teams to ensure seamless integration and support.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science (4-year) degree in a technical field such as engineering or computer science, or extensive relevant work experience.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in IT Support, System Administration, System Engineering, Software Engineering, or prior DevOps role.
  • Skills: Proven knowledge of CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, and logging techniques; solid knowledge of Linux Administration, Windows, and AWS tooling; and enterprise configuration management principles and tooling, such as Ansible.
  • Certifications: AWS DevOps Certifications a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and solution technical problems; ability to excel in a high-volume, fast-paced environment; and strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
