Job Summary

The GSP International Airport is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Police Officer - Airport Security to join our team. As a key member of our law enforcement department, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure and orderly environment within the airport premises.

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce all applicable laws, regulations, and procedures to ensure the safety and security of airport employees, tenants, and the general public.
• Perform preventive foot and vehicle patrols of airport facilities and grounds to detect and prevent potential security threats.
• Investigate crimes, accidents, and suspicious activity on airport property, and prepare incident reports as necessary.
• Assist other law enforcement agencies and respond to emergency situations as required.
• Provide excellent customer service to airport visitors and tenants, and respond to their inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
• Collaborate with airport staff and other law enforcement agencies to ensure a seamless and secure airport experience.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or higher preferred.
• Two (2) years of recent law enforcement experience required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a police vehicle.
• Certification by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Training Council or equivalent required.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to pass a background investigation, drug screening, and physical examination.
