Key Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Aftermarket Sales Director and fellow team members, you will be responsible for the development and execution of a flaking mill roll grinding field service across North America.
Your primary objectives will include enhancing our market presence within our current customer base and expanding our business reach in the region.
The newly established flaking mill roll grinding service will necessitate the formulation and revision of safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and internal training materials, all designed with scalability in mind.
The Field Service Specialist will travel to client locations to perform roll grinding in a two-person team, while also conducting diagnostic audits of the equipment.
Your focus will be on optimizing customer operations, standardizing processes, boosting efficiency, increasing aftermarket sales, and ensuring timely and professional service delivery to our clients.
Success Factors:
- Commercialization of flaking mill grinding field service
- Development of a scalable implementation strategy
- Formation of internal grinding technician teams
- Identification and translation of business and market opportunities into actionable strategies to foster growth and meet individual, team, and company objectives.
Essential Duties
- Design and implement a flaking mill roll grinding field service
- Establish and update safety protocols
- Create standard operating procedures
- Develop internal training materials
- Assist in training internal service personnel on flaking mill grinding techniques
- Revise flaking mill equipment diagnostics and audit checklists
- Physically grind flaking mill rolls at customer sites
- Manage personnel to cultivate a strong team culture
- Support the Aftermarket Sales Director or Field Service team with various projects, sales opportunities, and strategic initiatives
- Comprehend equipment to troubleshoot customer challenges
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and sales representatives
- Establish and achieve aftermarket budgets, forecasts, and revenue growth targets
- Prepare and distribute field reports following customer visits
- Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence in company databases
- Address customer issues in alignment with the company’s mission and financial goals
- Assist in the development of customer equipment and service agreements, ensuring compliance
- Identify and understand customer technical requirements, linking them with appropriate products and solutions
- Report market developments and potential opportunities to management and colleagues
- Stay informed about our services, products, industry trends, competition, and market conditions to effectively meet customer needs
