Job Title: Formulation Chemist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician Assistant to support our research and development team at Actalent. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting various laboratory tests, quality control testing, and analyses to drive innovation and product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory tests following standard procedures and guidelines to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintain records of all batches sold and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including mixers, viscosity testers, and spectrophotometers.
  • Record and analyze data accurately to inform product development decisions.
  • Assist in the development of new testing methods and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to laboratory safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience with new product formulation, including UV/LED coatings and flexo/water-based coatings.
  • Proficiency in X-Rite color matching and Excel.
  • Industry experience within coatings and inks.
